Oh my goodness! What a whirlwind of a weekend we just had, full of so much CHRISTMAS! On Friday we got our Christmas tree.
It was really fun hiking around the tree farm with our two kids in tow. It's moments like these that I have to stop and think, life is being LIVED. These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our liiiiiiiiiiiiives!
Saturday after I got home from work we decorated the tree. Gabe is 3 now so it's the first Christmas that he's been really able to help decorate. We ended up with a few branches with clusters of ornaments but over all he did a great job. When it was finished he said, "The tree is all dec'rate. It looks beautiful!"
Then on Sunday I packed all my wares into our car and set up my booth at the Nevada City Winter Bizarre. Set up went much more smoothly, I like having just one table, I may have to do that from now on!
I really love getting up early to do things by myself. I think that's part of the reason I love Black Friday so much. I got my booth set up super early so I was able to walk up the street to the bistro where I work to get some breakfast. I took this picture on the way back walking down the middle of the road, my town is SO beautiful with the mist settling on the mountains beyond Broad Street.
It was a nice day for hanging out and seeing LOTS of people I haven't seen in years! My friend Dianna, who I know from riding with on the school bus when I was 14, wrote a great post about the Bizarre over on her blog. (She took that excellent picture of me above.)
I wish I had taken more pictures. I bought this ornament from a fellow vendor before the doors had even opened. It was so my style I couldn't pass it up. There is SO much talent in this little place! I kinda wish I could have shopped more, but it's better for my pocketbook that I was behind my booth most of the day.
To check out more posts about the Bizarre check out the list below. (And hop around their blogs while you're at it!) But be warned! It all looks so awesome I wouldn't blame you for being tempted to pack up and move closer to California. I'm convinced I live in one of the best places on earth, and it just get SO charming around Christmas.
