A few days ago I saw a tutorial for this charming little felt Christmas ornament on Zakka Life. Seeing as how I've had to scale down my Christmas gift crafting from the original plan due to the fact we'll be packing up our house for the move in the next two months I figured that Christmas ornaments will be the way to go for most of our gift list. Plus, I love getting ornaments, especially if I can have a good story or frame of reference, such as year it was given to go with them. I'm thinking a few festive fabric tags to go with the ornaments will do the trick.
I spruced up this ornament with a few sequins at each middle joining stitch. It catches the light very nicely. It may be fun to experiment with shape and color on these, and they are compact enough that I can throw them into an embroidery bag and work on them when I get a free moment, a must around here!In other news my dad started his chemo yesterday so please keep him in your prayers. He was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and they're being very aggressive with his treatment. Thank you everyone for your continued prayers, and you can read the latest news on my dad's blog.
And I appreciate your continued prayers on our housing situation. I feel like I've been on an emotional roller coaster the past week or so, riding cautiously up to elation before plunging into disappointment and fear before riding cautiously back up to elation, as I'm sure many of you can relate! So again, thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support!
Always, and truly, be blessed!

Wow you have way to much on your plate right now. Sending prayers from the bottom of the world!!
Whoa, you are dealing with a LOT. You and your beautiful family are in my prayers.
On another note -- the ornament is so cute! Our families do an ornament exchange every year. We started the tradition several years ago, and now it's one we all look forward to (and can all afford no matter what the economy decides to do!)
